At any given moment, UNHCR teams and warehouses need to be ready to respond to these emergency situations. Join the UNHCR Emergency Response Team today with a regular gift to provide urgent support to refugees caught up in conflict and disaster.

Your first three gifts will be MATCHED, providing twice as much aid to families in need.

BECOME A REGULAR DONOR

Help UNHCR stay and deliver – no matter what

When you choose to make a regular donation, you stand hand in hand with refugees around the world.

Your regular donation ensures that UNHCR can assist people fleeing conflict, disaster and persecution. UNHCR teams are on the ground within 72 hours of an emergency, delivering life-saving aid such as shelter, clean water and healthcare. Even after an emergency is no longer in the spotlight, UNHCR’s dedicated teams stay to help communities recover and rebuild.

Refugees count on UNHCR to stay and deliver. You can support this vital work – sign up now to become a regular donor. For the first three months, you’ll be changing twice as many lives. And after that, you’ll continue making a lasting difference.

About Australia for UNHCR’s matched giving campaign:

Matched giving is when a donor pledges to match other supporters’ donations, dollar for dollar, up to an agreed amount.

A kind supporter has generously offered to match gifts to Australia for UNHCR one-to-one, for the first three months of each ongoing donation. Australia for UNHCR follows the Fundraising Institute of Australia’s (FIA) best practice guidelines for matched giving.

  1. A maximum of $22,000 is available in one-to-one matched funds
  2. The matched giving campaign target is therefore $44,000
  3. Donations to the campaign that exceed the matching target amount will not be matched unless further match funds become available
  4. In circumstances where the supporter who is matching donations is unable to fulfill their pledges, Australia for UNHCR will notify supporters who have donated to the campaign via email and the online donation page
  5. Australia for UNHCR will cease promoting matched giving as soon as the campaign target is met and will make this information readily available on its website
  6. The matched giving campaign starts on the 17th of February and continues until the target is met.

Please contact our Donor Care team on 1300 361 288 should you require any further information.
